  • Enzo Bonaventura  (Pisa 1891 - Jerusalem 1948), father: psychology professor suspended from service at the Università di Firenze, emigrated in March 1939, before his wife and children; never returned to Italy.
  • Matilde Passigli Bonaventura (Palma de Mallorca 1895 - Jerusalem 1984), mother: in Florence from 1921, emigrated to Jerusalem in September 1939 with David and the other children to join her husband; never returned to Italy.
  • David Bonaventura later Ashery (Florence 1925 - Jerusalem 2000), brother: emigrated to Jerusalem (then Palestine) in 1939 with his mother and siblings, became a Greek and Roman History university professor; never returned to Italy.
  • Emanuel Bonaventura then Ashery (Florence 1928), brother: emigrated to Jerusalem (then Palestine) in 1939 with his mother and siblings, went into the shipping business, living from the Fifties mainly in Italy but also in Paris.
