Rodolfo Mondolfo (1877-1976), husband: professor of philosophy, was expelled from the University of Bologna and, in 1939, moved with his family to Argentina. He never returned to Italy permanently.
Ugo Mondolfo (1909-1968), son: MD, in1939 moved with his family of origin and his wife Evelina Monterastrelli to Argentina. Neither they nor their son Francisco returned to Italy permanently.
Lucio Mondolfo (1910-2001), son: graduated in industrial engineering, in 1939 moved to the United States and settled in Chicago with his wife Vittoria Coen (1916-2003). They never returned to Italy permanently.
Silvano Mondolfo (1912-?), son: removed from his position as assistant professor of orthopaedics at the University of Bologna, in 1939 he moved with his wife Adriana Terni to Argentina. They never returned to Italy permanently.
